The App Store sale is now complete and regular pricing resumes. We are completing a demo version of the VST Plugin for those who have not used the iOS version. It will be very similar to the ‘Player’ version of bleep!BOX in that you won’t be able to edit all the parameters, but you’ll be able to hear the app in action without interruption.
bleep!BOX will be on sale today for about half it’s normal price (check your app store for specifics). This is to promote the launch of the VST version. If you are an owner of the iPhone/iPad app, check the ‘news’ page in the app for the coupon code.
bleep!BOX, the mobile groove station, got even more useful by coming to your desktop as a VST Plugin. Now you can take presets you’ve made on your iPhone or iPad and load them up in your host sequencer of choice on your Mac or PC with full access to all parameters. Get the full story here, or:
Lots of bleeps from bleep!BOX users. Here’s what’s been going down on SoundCloud lately:

I usually don’t like to spill the beans too early, but my enthusiasm is getting the better of me – I am working on a new app. Some of you may know that Line6 recently changed their licensing agreement around making apps for the Midi Mobilizer, which makes it much more attractive for developers. I decided to throw my hat in the ring, and have begun work on a MIDI sequencer focused on live MIDI jams with your favorite music gear. My goal with this (not yet named) app is to give you one of the most intuitive and fun sequencing environments you’ve ever used, while opening up the possibility of making music with your gear in more casual settings, other than sitting in front of a computer. We are rethinking the way things like piano rolls work by redesigning them for the touch screen and making them as easy to use as a paint program.
Features are still being decided, but you will be able to create multiple loops of MIDI and send them to any MIDI channel. You’ll also be able to automate CC’s to control your synthesizer’s knobs. Stay tuned for more info!
I can confirm one feature for the next version of bleep!BOX – iOS 4.0 retina display support! bleep!ers can look forward to clearer text and higher res graphics. Who’s got an iPhone 4? That’s right, I do.
All the promo codes have been given away – Thanks to everyone who volunteered!
Free copies of bleep!BOX are available to anyone who wants to write a review in the app store or make a video and post it to youtube. Already have a copy? Feel free to give the code to a friend. Interested parties can feel free to drop us a line at contact@bleepboxapp.com. There is absolutely no requirement that you write a good review, just an honest one.
EDIT: All codes have been given away. Thanks to everyone who responded.
Two new bleep!BOX videos have been posted. The first is an overview of some of the new stuff that arrived in 1.3.0. The second is a tutorial for new users. Since it’s kind of hard to see small, I’d recommend watching these in HD.
